Beautiful hotel dating back to the 1820s

I was gobsmacked to find out it was built on accessible caves dating back many centuries. A previous owner had shut the cave bar down, and no one has reopened it. What a fantastic opportunity to reopen this cave bar to introduce real history a culture who dont realise Nottingham has hundreds caves under it centuries old. What a waste of an opportunity to have real history, which could be shared with the rest of the world.

Great location. Old but clean.

Booked breakfast included, but Marstons asked separately for my card details in advance to pay extra for breakfast. To add insult to injury, they then told us on the day that the price had gone up for breakfast since we booked. We left without breakfast rather than pay extra for what was included in the room price. I'm not sure how to claim this back but will certainly try.

Was very nice and clean, it was just for one night but the room was very comfortable and the staff was super friendly too.
