The Springfield Inn by Innkeeper's Collection

We've stayed here before, for a local family event, and had a good stay, so we came back. A convenient location, a very clean, functional and comfortable room and, as we remembered from last time, a very good breakfast.

We have no complaints.

Lovely bed. Friendly staff. Good service. Quiet location. Lovely continental breakfast.

Wifi was ok - not very reliable at times. Creaky floorboards - I was afraid of waking other hotel guests up at night. Sink tap was a bit stuck and tricky to operate.

The fact it was local to where I needed to be.

The bathroom wasn't clean there was pubic hair floating around, toilet seat didn't fit on the toilet, bathroom tiles where stained and need to be redone, the ceiling in my room was stained and dirty, the bed was hard and uncomfortable. I found someone's hair on the pillow. The generator outside the window kept me up most of the night from the noise sounded like a motorbike. For £120 I expected so much better.

Nice grounds and plenty of parking. Room had everything you'd need and expect in a double bedroom, including hair dryer, lamps etc.

It didn't feel clean. Could have done with a deep bleach in the bathroom. Welcome and staff were not that friendly. Quite noisy with other guests, think walls. Could have done without the maintenance guy on the roof outside the bedroom window first thing in the morning. Appreciate it's a tough property to maintain. I'm unlikely to return for the price but the gardens and grounds were lovely.

Good meal in restaurant. Comfortable bed Friendly staff. Decent one night stay.

Small room. Good walk-in shower but poor bathroom layout.
