It was a very nice and relaxing stay directly at the beach. I got an upgrade to a super cute room. The nights are fun with live bands and good food.

THIS IS A HOSTEL! Not a Boutique Hotel! So if you want more of a hostel setting, with entertainment like Karaoke then this could be the place for you. It feels more like a restaurant/bar with rooms. A young tour group were there so it seemed to confirm that it was actually a hostel. The beach the hostel is on is great! So id recommend the area. The lady on reception and some of the bar staff were friendly, they seemed to enjoy doing the entertainment side and wanted to create a fun atmosphere.

There are 2 room options, one in the ‘villa’… they class these as the ‘quieter rooms’. This is a walk down the beach and up an alley way. The lighting didn’t work and we felt really unsafe. The second is the ‘bungalows’ these are located in the main area of the hostel. They’re basically in the restaurant. There is ‘entertainment’ until about 10:30 each night so we weren’t worried about the noise going on late, but what they didn’t tell us was there is a mosque literally next to the rooms and prayers started at 4am, there were also people and cars all night. A lot of the staff seemed to have friends/family hanging around the hostel to so it didn’t really feel like the guests were the most important thing and it was abit uncomfortable. They also had someone selling tours within the hostel, he was very pushy. We thought we’d be able to relax in the ‘boutique hotel’ we booked but it just wasn’t the case. There are also no sunbeds, just deck chairs. So there wasn’t anywhere to sunbathe. The rooms could also do with a proper clean and tidy up. The shower area had stains and rust everywhere. There were marks on the walls and the safety deposit box didn’t work. The mosquito net around the bed, also only went around half of the bed and then connected to the window… so a nice entry point for the mosquitos at night. Food, the menu was extensive but didn’t look anything like the photos on booking.com. It was more pub grub. It was nice, but just not what was advertised. I feel if they marketed this as a hostel, everyone would know what to expect and it would properly exceed expectations as a hostel. But definitely not as a Boutique Hotel. We were booked to stay for 4 nights but left after 1, and relocated to a Boutique Hotel on the same beach .

The staff are fantastic. I wish I could remember all their names but unfortunately I can’t. I will shout out Aisha who made us welcome from the start to the finish. There was a beautiful long beach just in front of the hotel. The pina coladas ( shout out to the lovely young man who made them) and the food were delicious. The staff also helped make our wedding anniversary very memorable.
