The Seles Boutique Hotel

The hotel is right by the most amazing beach, the staff is extremely friendly and the whole place is just really relaxing. If you get a room in the main villa you have a pool there as well, which was basically our private pool, empty and just for us all day. The evening entertainment at the restaurant is also really great, with super talented musicians! Thank you for an amazing stay!!

One of the windows in our room wouldn’t really close, which meant some mosquitos did get it. Just do a few checks before closing your nets and you’ll be fine :)

Breakfast and food was good great location, life music every night, staff great

Right on the beach Swimming pool and sunbed. Good restaurant good food and happy place where every evening they organized something like karaoke , happy hour etc.

I dont suggest the bungalow because the windows in the bathroom are completely open. So take the regular room or the villa.

I liked the friendly staff who were always smiling and welcoming you. And we also the view over the beach from the pool. The breakfast were also good with a lot of varieties and fresh fruits.

The air conditioner didn't work because of the bad electricity on the island. The hotel looks a bit old and not well maintained. I tried to ask for shampo several times, but we never got it, so we had to use the handsoap as shampo.

The staff is nice and helpful. Especially Jovin from the bar helped us a lot. The tour organizer Mr. Shokran is very friendly and helpful. The food was nice but expensive compared to other hotels and restaurants in Zanzibar.

The location of the hotel is not that nice, it’s really far away from nice places in Zanzibar and the taxis drive very expensive for tourists. There is a pressure of staff expecting tips all the time , of course I am glad to give tips to people for their kindness and service but unfortunately I cannot give 24/7 tips to everyone for everything: this was a bit bothering. Also people are constantly trying to sell you something, even though I was willing to buy to support the locals, they told an extremely scam price, so I didn’t buy but the following days they literally did not let us in peace. They should definitely rearrange their strategy to approach people with respecting more to their boundaries. Also when you book a tour with this hotel, I advise you to be sure that they will bring you to the places as they promised. Sometimes they just tell you “oh there is no sandbank today” which I may not be true, and keep the excursion short and uncomplete.

Great location Friendly staff

Lovely place. The music show was fantastic. The restaurant has a reasonable number of vegetarian options, but servings were generous. The room was beautifully prepared.

These are small things. The room could use more lighting (we oldies really need it) and power outlets. The bathroom fittings were a bit on the wonky side.
