X Mirissa

The hotel was a great find as it is located between parrot rock and coconut tree hill, but still up a small hill that is quiet where you can sleep peacefully. The staff were very kind and attentive. The breakfast in the morning was decent and cheap. We even washed clothes there which was as a huge help. We were even able to watch monkeys playing on our neighbors balcony which was really exciting m.

Location is rather ok

This place is a complete rip-off. It feels more like a hostel than a hotel. The rooms are neither cozy nor particularly clean, with grime that looks like it’s been there for a long time. Throughout the property there are large printed signs full of rules and warnings, which makes the atmosphere feel unwelcoming — again, more like a hostel than a hotel. When we asked for extra toilet paper, we had to sign a paper just to receive one roll. The breakfast was disappointing: lukewarm coffee that seemed hours old, plain white toast, and a waffle that tasted more like raw dough. The receptionist also struggled to communicate in English, which made things even more difficult. Overall, this place is absolutely not worth the money. I’d strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

Location

Bugs in the bathroom. Our suitcases we have brought back home have had multiple bugs in them. The room did not get cleaned once during our 3 night stay. We had to ask for new towels and toilet paper.

I only stayed one night at X Mirissa (November 2025), but I really wished I could have stayed longer. It is great value for what you get. I was upgraded to the top floor, which included a shared kitchenette and living area, and the views from my balcony were gorgeous, overlooking the lush nature of Mirissa. My room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel itself has a very bohemian, beachy vibe that fits perfectly with the area. The location was perfect as it is walking distance to Mirissa Beach and to so many restaurants, cafes, spas, and shops. It is also close to Coconut Tree Hill. Unfortunately, I arrived with a really bad migraine but Reashan was incredibly kind and brought me a soup from their restaurant and made sure I was feeling okay. The staff were warm, thoughtful, and very helpful. Their service was definitely more than 5 stars. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend X Mirissa - hopefully I can stay next time for more than one night.

We got a free upgrade of our room to the suite for the same price as the suite was free. The owner has been very kind. The view on the mountains is fantastic
