Goldi Sands Hotel

Very lovely hotel located in the center of Negombo right on the beach. Rooms are nicely decorated and fully equipped. Late afternoon I was surprised with a fruit platter that was send free of charge to the guest room. This felt so welcoming. The staff, especially the front office staff and the guest relation lady, is super kind and helpful.

We had a wonderful time, the hotel is on the beach, the location is fantastic. The food was good, the staff were supersweet. They made sure we are comfortable throughout. We went on a anniversary trip and they surprised us with a cake too, we didnt expect them to even remember as i mentioned weeks before we made the booking. All in all, its a good place to stay, we opted for ocean view room and it met all our expectations.

Zum Abschluss unserer Sri-Lanka-Rundreise waren wir vier Tage im Goldi Sands. Pool und Strand sind toll zum Entspannen. Die Anlage ist sehr sauber und es gibt ausreichend Liegen im Schatten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten ein großes Zimmer mit Balkon und Meerblick und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Besonderes Highlight war der Streedfood Abend am Strand.

Staff — The team at Goldi Sands truly sets the tone for the stay. Every member of staff I encountered was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful — the kind of friendliness that makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Cleanliness & Hygiene — The property was immaculately maintained throughout. The rooms and common areas were spotlessly clean, and it was clear that high hygiene standards are taken seriously — something I always appreciate and rarely take for granted. Food & Variety — The dining experience was nothing short of amazing. The food was delicious, and the variety on offer was impressive, catering to different tastes and preferences. Every meal was a highlight of the day. Overall, Goldi Sands Hotel delivers on every front. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, and welcoming stay with excellent food. I will certainly be returning!

Room Condition & Furnishings — While the bed was comfortable and I slept very well, the overall room decor and furniture felt noticeably outdated. A refurbishment would go a long way in elevating the guest experience to match the excellent service and food on offer. Television — Unfortunately, the television in my room was not functioning during my stay. This is something that should be addressed promptly, as it is a basic amenity guests expect. Bathroom Facilities — The bathrooms are in need of an upgrade. Modern fixtures and fittings would make a significant difference and bring the overall standard of the rooms in line with the rest of the hotel's strengths.
