"They made an error in the booking"

I booked a double room for 2 people and arrived on a Friday afternoon and there was no one in the reception because the whole weekend was a "quite day". They have us a room for one person and there was no one to complain to in order to rectify the situation. we had to spend the night with one bed cover and only one set of towels.
