Calverts Hotel - Newport, Isle of Wight - FERRY TICKET FROM 89 POUNDS FOR A CAR & PASSENGERS RETURN

I was able to enter and exit the hotel 24 hours. It was easy to find. The bed was surprisingly comfy. I also liked that we had 4 towels readily available to use in our room alongside the complementary items. I liked that we had a choice as to whether we wanted our room freshening up daily.

The rooms were outdated and old fashioned, for what I paid, you would expect newer and more up to date. The location of the room I stayed in was a bit hit and miss, especially of a weekend when there’s nothing but drunk and loud people walking down the alley underneath the windows. Staff don’t really make much conversation and I only saw one or two members that was both to collect and hand keys back.

Central location, close to my church Truevine in High Street.. Easy access to bus station .. comfortable bed

BATH .. Difficult for me entry/access, lots more water needed as opposed to showering..

Staff were great, rooms were much better than expected for the price. Nice and clean, great location.

No shower, the hot tap in the bath was a bit moody too. The TV remote control didn’t work and you could hear the toilet flushing in other rooms.

It was shabby.

No breakfast - there is an option for basic breakfast but the staff on duty early am were reluctant. The times I’ve been there I’ve either managed in my room with a tea or bought breakfast in a nearby shop
