Hotel Trakia

Very handy for the Train Station and the Plovdiv Airport Shuttle is just across the road. Restaurant and bar open until late but not loud. A 10 to 15 minute walk into the centre. The room could do with a makeover and the bathroom was falling to bits. Toilet wobbly and leaking water from the U Bend. Could certainly find nicer hotels in the area for the same price !

Not comfortable pillow

The hotel is nothing special, it is very basic, but it was clean. It was 30 minutes walking from the old town, which was OK

The shower is straight on the bathroom floor, so after a shower the complete bathroom is drenched. Better go then naked to the toilet to prevent wet trousers or pyjamas. Window could not be fully opened, bed was in the way. No breakfast, although there is a restaurant. Staff was not very welcoming, some were even quite rude and spoke no English at all.

Although I had paid my room in advance I was not accommodated. The explanation was that there were no rooms available and that they had increased their prices.
