Hotel Poonam Pushkar

The hotel has recently been started by Manu and Miki, who were very kind and welcoming. We arrived at 4am and Manu was on hand to welcome us and allowed us early check in, which was really appreciated after an uncomfortable night train journey! There was always a member of staff on hand throughout our stay to help us with whatever we needed, including laundry and booking our coach for next part of our journey (without a crazy price mark-up like you sometimes see in other hostels/hotels!) The rooftop restaurant is a really nice chilled space and Miki is an excellent chef! It honestly felt as though we were staying with friends rather than in a hotel. The communal spaces were cleaned every morning and many plants decorate the space giving it a really nice homely feel. Location is also very desirable, around a 5 minutes walk from main shopping area and lake, yet still far away enough that there is no noise disturbance during the night. This hotel is ideal for anyone looking for a private room on a budget, ideal for solo backpackers and couples, we will definitely be looking into staying at this place again on our next visit to Pushkar.

The hot water was a little tempremental during our stay. That said, staff were quick to call in plumber to resolve as soon as they could. It's also worth noting that the place has recently been taken over and we visited before the main tourist season, so this is easily forgiven!

The staff was really nice and made my stay very pleasent. Thanks for allowing me to check in early, I appreciated the effort to answer me in what you thought is my mother tongue and special thanks to let me use the sport machine and coming with me to the bus station!

Not all things were funcional in the room, for example the plugs, maybe you could take a look. And also the bed sheets are not the most pleasent. More fans for the down beds would be also useful. These are all recommendations, they might help

Perfect location! Very close to everything! Manu and the rest of the staff is always keen to help and the rooftop restaurant is delicious and with amazing sunset and sunrise views
