Railton Hotel - heritage pub accommodation

Had a simple bowl of GF cereal and a cup of tea. Suggest some GF bread but keep in freezer for infrequent guests who require GF bread.

Plumbing needs work. Owner is aware and is resolving.

Nice town, close to places to visit.

The bed was ok

I was asked to remove my shoes before entering the room which is ok, I was supplied a used pair of crocks to wear, when looking I wasn't sure why the shoe removal because carpet was filthy and not been vacuumed for a long time, maybe I was supplied crocks so my feet wouldn't get dirty. The hosts were nice enough but not sure they should be in hospitality. everything was old which is part of the reason I booked here because I love old pubs etc. however that's not an excuse to be unclean, shower shared and toilet were dirty. Breakfast supplied was 2 types of cereal and some bread with the usual jams etc. this is a $50 room at best at $90 surely you can afford a cleaner. disappointing stay seems to be letting the town down.
