Your standard country pub with the warm attention of Michael the host who looks after you very well. Great value stay for this cute country village.

I’m not sure how this hotel can list itself as a 4 star establishment - its a 2 star country pub with old fittings, cracked walls, drafty windows, old beds, dodgy wifi and racist political propaganda on display in its public areas. I regret my decisión to book here. I felt isolated and unsafe. Would not recommend for solo female travellers.

bathroom facilities are limited to one shower currently

Location, and the building itself could be fantastic but it needs a lot of investment to bring it up to standard. Fridge in the room is good.

It is a bit expensive for what is offered, poor internet connection in rooms, bar is unwelcoming, tiles loose or missing in communal bathroom, very dated and old furniture. Heater in the room didn't work.
