Berwick Manor Hotel

It was nice and quiet, a beautiful view from my bedroom. The room was clean and well presented. A lift up to the rooms and a restaurant on site. Continental breakfast in the morning

Looks lovely from the outside and nice reception area. The staff were friendly and nice views from the windows. Room nice and warm.

Had to be moved to another room as the shower didn't work, sink plug didn't fit, heated towel rail cold and TV remote didn't work. My other room had a dripping tap and cold towel rail. Location out in the sticks and hard to get to. Had to have my son to collect me and bring me back when I went out as you need your own transport to stay here. The breakfast was supposed to be continental but there was only cereal, yogurts and toast. Orange juice and tea/coffee. No fruit, cakes, etc which is normal for a continental breakfast. Breakfast was in the meeting room and was cold and no TV, radio.

Lovely friendly staff and large room for the amazing price.

As other reviews say, the building is a bit tired and some bits need repair but it was comfortable and homely.

Location.

Reception staff both in the evening and morning were on their phones and watching videos on the computer all the time. On arrival the reception guy didn't tell us about breakfast so I had to go back down and ask for the times, I was told the continental breakfast was available from 7am till 9am or we could have a cooked breakfast in the restaurant from 9am at no point was I told it would be an extra cost. We didn't find out until after we'd eaten that we had to pay which I refused to do as had already paid for breakfast with my booking. The tv in our room didn't work and the pillows were extremely thin. The restaurant downstairs played loud music until midnight which we could hear clearly in our room.
