Tricky's Hotel

Spacious room. Location. Staff I met were very friendly and polite.

Hard beds. High price did not match quality. I did expect better for what i paid. Bathroom in family room very disappointing. Floor floods when showering and door gets wet. Nowhere to put toiletries. No extractor fan just a switch for a heater (not pleasant in summer). Very loud squeeky bathroom door, waking everyone up in the night. Bathroom looked unfinished.

Good facilities, quiet location. Great breakfast. Associated pub convenient for food & refreshment, short walk back to the room.

Not much, perhaps a little remote from Redruth village

Just stayed one night while visiting family. A good choice. Room quiet and comfortable and very handy bar restaurant. Friendly staff and excellent value. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

Really nice place but a little way out of Redruth so a car needed if you want to explore the town.

The hotel is very quiet based in the countryside but only a few minutes from the A30. Lots of outside areas to sit and enjoy. Lots of parking is available, and the hotel was easy to find. The bed was very comfortable. Nice soft towels. The breakfast was hot and freshly provided with plenty of choice. The pub (which is where breakfast is served) also served nice evening meals but is situated separately to the hotel area, so consequently, there was no noise...brilliant 👍. Good wifi. Lovely friendly helpful staff and being a solo traveller felt very welcoming and comfortable. Had a great nights sleep.

The rooms were basic, but as I mentioned, they were comfortable. The carpets are tired, and the bathroom is clean. However, the grouting in the shower was very black, so I didn't feel overly comfortable standing on the tiles. There are also no toiletries to use or shower caps, so I had to use the hand liquid soap to shower and improvised for a shower cap. There wasn't an iron to utilise and no one to ask at reception if there was one available. Reception is only open certain hours, which isn't a biggy.
