Simply fabulous. The staff are exceptional from the second you arrive to the moment you leave. The rooms are beautifully presented. The restaurant offers a stunning choice of local produce. The wine list is comprehensive and reasonably priced. The bar is well stocked with extensive gin and whiskey lists.

Very welcoming atmosphere. lovely staff, beautiful in every aspect. A very special place.

Beautiful, modern and comfortable.

There was limited services. For example no hot breakfast or lunch options, except for a Sunday lunch.

Firstly, the public areas are beautifully decorated and the staff are lovely. The room didn't feel luxurious but it did feel very pleasant. Outside, the property is minimal and quite understated. It didn't feel like Scotland however, and could have been a nice hotel in the Cotswolds. It had quite a Cotswold feel about it. There is a bar and a seating area but that's really it. There isn't a spa or games room or other facilities. I think you can go cycling and on a small plane so that's fun although we didn't have time to try either. The food was similar. Very nice but not really wow, which I was expecting for £500 room and dinner (we don't drink) for one night. Parking is great and they are dog friendly. It was nice, but not amazing. It was a little like Soho Farmhouse without the spa or swimming pool or gym classes, boating, tennis, shops, restaurants, lakes, etc. Mind you, I find that place a bit much at times but the service is always next level.

The breakfast isn't ideal. If you are looking for an English or Scottish slap up breakfast, you won't find it here. There are boiled eggs however. We asked for help in planning to get to the islands but it wasn't really forthcoming. Other than that, there's nothing not to like, really....

The rooms were really comfortable, well appointed and stylish. Generous in size and thoughtfully laid out, they exuded class and attention to detail

There was a constant smell of smoke in the building and inside the room, due to a fire place outside.
