Fantastic breakfast, fresh and tasty

Corridor and common spaces can be more clean

Spacious and clean room (for a family of 3), very hospitable people, easy self check in, nicely located and great view to the farm.

Breakfast was basic in our view - could be a bit richer (e.g no cakes, croissants etc). Also wifi was a bit poor at times.

Great location in Black Forest. Balcony in the room was a great addition. Decent choices of food for breakfast.

Uncomfortable mattresses with almost flat pillows. There was no hot water when we got to the hotel at around 9-10pm and really needed to take a shower.

Our stay here was very nice. The self check-in worked very well. We missed a little bit a warm welcome as we arrived around 20:00 but this was not a big issue. The rooms are very big, with lots of space. Very clean and with everything you need. If you arrive in the evening make sure you ate something as there is not much open at that time. Freudenstadt is only 15 mins away by car so there are more options there. Our room was on the second floor, and here the balconies are a bit more "closed" comparing to the first floor rooms where you have a bigger view of the fields. We asked to move to a room below but unfortunately they were all booked so we stayed put. Not an issue for us, as the owner explained this to us very politely. The area was great, surrounded by high tress so it is great to take walks around the village. Many other places are easily accessible by car so it is easy to explore the North of the Schwarzwald National Park. All in all we felt very welcome here and Janina did a great job making us feel like home. We also felt that a lot of attention is paid on cleanliness and sustainability. We really had to look hard to find any plastics or any waste, but it was almost impossible so we appreciated this. We hope to return one day.

No phone signal but WLAN was good in the house. My wife had signal though so it is also related to the network you are on. maybe a small fridge would also be beneficial in the rooms.
