Stanley High Country Inn

the bed was super comfortable and the extra blanket was a plus. The Wolfgang Puck coffee in the room was the best hotel coffee I’ve ever had. The price was super given the location and how hard it is to get a room in Stanley. I love that it’s just a 15 minute drive to Stanley Lake.

I arrived at 8pm and the office was closed. I spent half an hour trying to figure out how to get to my room because the staircase is in some weird break room. I went up the back stairs in the dark and accidentally walked into someone else’s room! seriously, get some lights on the back porch so a person can see the room numbers. Or better yet, have someone in the office to help orient a guest. The room was nice, but I could hear the family in the adjoining room pretty clearly. They tried to observe the quiet hours but their baby did wake up in the middle of the night, as babies do. The tv didn’t seem to be connected to dish; it was worthless.

Location is very easy to access. Check in and Check out were very simple. There was a nice little restaurant close by.

The views of the mountains from the room were nice, but not overwhelming. The location is convenient, but it really is a base for getting out and not a place to hang out at.

We stayed after they discontinued the hot breakfast for the season. A continantal breakfast would be appreciated.

The bed was very comfy and cozy. The hot tub was amazing!

We rented a two bedroom for 4 - 80 yr olds. We were in a studio with a regular small 6 foot by 4 ft with a bunk bed squished into it They sorta gave us another room but we had to pay more

Breakfast not included. A breakfast and bakery was within thousand feet, and that was excellent. The location is fantastic, be sure to take the alternate route to Boise instead of 21 all the way as the alternate route is amazing the room was very comfortable, the beds were comfortable the pillows were comfortable and the staff a great.

The rooms were minimally heated, which was fine while sleeping under the covers however, as they heated the hallways and the common area sometimes the bedroom itself was quite cool. Since the mornings were in the high 20s and low 30s outside a little more heat would be appreciated also although we didn’t watch TV except for perhaps a couple hours late at night, the TV Internet connection did not work for two nights and we had to have someone come in to reconnect. The booking.com descriptor of this hotel was there was a terrace and a view. For anyone booking in the future this is not a view from your bedroom window. There are views of the mountains when you walk around the property. Several other property owners have built their structures blocking any direct view, the descriptor made us think that our particular room would have a view of the mountains but instead we viewed the parking lot. The bathrooms were somewhat dated, but we’re clean and very functional.
