Hotel Gangaur Palace

Wunderschönes Haveli in Top Lage. Der Raum war super schön und groß. Das Highlight war die Alkove mit Matratze zum relaxen. Insgesamt hatte das Zimmer eine tolle natürliche Kühlung durch die dicken Wände und kleinen Fenster so dass keine AC erforderlich war.

Unser Zug war früher als erwartet in Udaipur. Daher waren wir auch eher als angekündigt im Hotel. Der Service beim Check-in hat etwas gedauert.

It is a nice new building.

The staff, though very helpful, are totally unsuited to be running a hotel . The property is in an isolated location and it seemed like playtime for the staff later in the evening. If I’d been a woman or women I might have been quite concerned.

Good room, good price, very good location - near Gangaur Ghat and Bagore ki Haveli, the staff is very helpful and the food at restaurant is great.

An oasis of calm amidst the bustle of Jaipur. Excellent, friendly staff and comfortable rooms.

The location and basic nice large rooms

The property had pictures of a roof top restaurant but this was not running - only a cafe downstairs. WiFi did not work in the rooms.

This was a real find - the old haveli that houses the hotel is an architectural gem, full of atmosphere and relatively comfortable. The staff were friendly and super helpful, even helping me carry my luggage down the street to where I could catch a taxi. The onsite restaurant is fine, and the art store in the building has lots of beautiful things for very fair, hassle free prices. The location is perfect, too - it's steps from the lake at Gangaur Ghat and an easy walk to many of Udaipur's attractions.

The electric setup was a little complicated to figure out (lots of switches, plus a power on/off switch outside the room), but that was nothing that couldn't be sorted out easily.
