Quite poor experience at The Uddhav Elite hotel. The floor of the room was clean, the toilet and shower were clean, and we always felt safe in the room.

We arrived in Udaipur by train around 7 a.m. We asked ahead of time whether it would have been possible to have breakfast at the hotel before checking in. We did not get any other answer from the hotel than a copy-pasted generic message and a "subject to availability" message for the Booking.com request to have an early check-in. When we came into the hotel, the person at the lobby pointed with his finger at the check-in and check-out hours and said "You knew the rule" before asking us to leave the hotel because "they usually clean the lobby at 7:30". That's how we ended up on the Udaipur streets looking for a place to eat after a long night train journey. When we came back around 1 p.m., we were asked to pay immediately the whole amount before seeing the room. Which is unusual. The room was small, had two windows that were opening onto a one-square-meter skylight. Windows that could not be closed properly, leading to a glow during the whole night. The curtains were quite dirty (so were the walls). The upper berth was not secured, so a kid could fall from it. There's no kitchen on site. The hotel can get food delivered from a partner hotel.

Swati at the reception made sure all our requests were fulfilled including laundry from a 3rd party, extra mattress for one of the rooms, dinner requests since we reached late. Overall, very helpful staff. The location is also good to reach any part of Udaipur.

Their restaurant can have more staff just to avoid delays and confusion in orders.
