Dock 1 Boutique Hotel

This was the first time I have been to Malta, I spent a lot of time thinking about where i wanted to stay, the 3 cities suited me well, it was quieter than other parts, plenty of excellent local restaurants and a nice vibe. The hotel was very handy to the Valletta ferry making it very easy to get around to other parts of the island. My room had a great view over the marina, with a small balcony it was a great place to relax as the sun set

Finding the hotel was tricky as there is a closed-down cafe' with the same name about 100 metres up the road that google maps directs you to. The Taxi I was in didn't know where it was either so I spent a bit of time trying to find the actual hotel.

The location was perfect with outstanding views to Valletta and the bay. Every room had a balcony to enjoy the view. Rooms were clean, comfy. The staff very friendly and helpful even in the middle of the night when we could not get into the room (special trick to open the door). Breakfast had two options: fixed or al a carte and both were really good.

The staff was very helpful and assisted us with anything we approached them about. There is not always staff on premises, yet the response time via app was only a few minutes. And extra points go for location - it is ideal to visit Three Cities, Cospicua of Valletta. The latter is only a few minutes and ferry ride away; ferry station is right there, maybe 100 meters down the road.

Prime location to go anywhere, view from the balcony photos below...walking the 3 cities, their beautiful churches, museums and their harbours from here is a delight, bus stops are right outside, ferry 150m down the road for Valetta (10 minutes across the harbour), most restaurants are a pleasant 10 minute walk along the marina. Martina and her staff are all excellent, respectful of privacy if you value it and will step in if assistance is required. We like continental breakfast which is very good here. The hotel was quiet at night when we were there, we were on the 4th floor, from our window you can see the yacht marina in the foreground and in the distance huge cruise ships coming and going from Grand Harbour. Martina also kindly accomodated our baggage on check-out day for a late flight home, which was much appreciated,

clothes hooks on the walls to hang stuff, cushions that can be placed on the balcony chairs

We liked everything about our stay .The room was excellent with all facilities being good.The room was clean and was serviced properly every day.We enjoyed taking the ferry into Valletta just 15 minutes.

We thought the breakfast was very poor ,coffee was weak and food available was very sweet.Quality not good.! We would however use the hotel again.
