"Lovely, calm and restful before interview I attended next day"

6.0

No brekkie s had to leave early, in room teaaking facilities and kettle and sufficed to make instant porridge, however large fish n chips was LARGE and well cooked.staff were friendly and has to be one of the cleanest rooms I have stayed in .beds were like new, no dips or saga in mattress.. bathroom was brilliant, walk in wet room style, again clean and warm.grounds are expansive and safe for youngsters ,was very peaceful. Log burner in pub was amazing, I want one!!!

Walls between rooms are quite thin so could hear half of chap in room next door phone convo with someone. Given it is timber construction prob no surprise in hindsight however courteous neighbours no prob, may be a nuisance if others renting are of an ilk not to be aware of noise. My photo of food too blurred but hopefully gives an idea 🤣

"The best stay! We will definitely be returning. It’s ideal if you want to fall off the grid for a few days. My boyfriend"

10.0

A very cosy and clean room! Tv with internet access for Netflix and Prime, the rainfall shower is amazing and powerful and big enough for 2 to get in. Radiator works well (we slept on top of the covers it stayed that warm) the pub is literally a stones throw away, the food is decent priced and huge portions and the drinks are not too pricey or cheap! Lovely atmosphere in there and super welcoming!

There was very little lighting around where the coffee making items and mirror are.

Room was nice and bathroom was huge,

A fan In the room would have been a good option as you can't leave the windows open, too worried about mozzies when surrounded by lakes. Maybe a mini fridge?

"Scenery was absolutely beautiful"

8.0

This place is absolutely stunning! The views/scenery is really beautiful. Me and my children took a long walk through all the woodland they absolutely loved it and we was lucky enough to come across a lovely man fishing whom had just caught a fish he let me and my children watch the process of reeling it in and let us hold and take pictures with it which was such a lovely experience. The room was good we slept well. The bathroom was very nice and clean.

The pub on site does not have a great menu at all. I wasn’t really impressed with the options on the menu considering this is the only restaurant on site and you would think they would have a better selection of food to offer so this was the downside for my family but the staff was very welcoming and the pub/restaurant its self was clean it’s just the food options that let it down. I think £95 was very high in price I think £50 max a night is more reasonable for the room/space. It’s not very big but acceptable for one night. When we booked I thought £95 was quite high but was only place close to where we needed to be.

"Won’t be back , unfortunately as I’m sure it’s nice in summer but room 10 near the bar is bloody noisy avd I especially"

4.0

Secluded in I assume a very pleasant park but arrived in dark left in dark so can’t confirm

The room was a in a block of wooden chalets . Unfortunately I think the heating pump for the whole block was in my bed !! . Everytime one of the chalets in the blocks thermostats clicked on for heat the whole room was filled with loud gurgling and bubbles obviously in the pipes made for a lousy night . Currently writing this at 3.25am . Only the restaurant / bar on site nothing else nearby . So didn’t bother to try the on site food so no idea if good or bad just didn’t fancy it . The mattress is saggy to one side so well worn that you nearly roll out of the bed ..it needs replacing .
