Location and freindlieness of staff

the hotel was closed until16:20 so I could not leave my bag before check in. I also had to buy my own showergel as there was only a bar of soap in the bathroom

Good location.

The room I had was room 2, and it was awful. Technically, there's a window, but it looks out on what seems to be a ventilation shaft. Two dirty white vertical walls within a metre or so, and on the third side is a window of another room. I couldn't even tell if the sun was out. 2. You have to lift and move backward and forward the door to the bathroom - the slider doesn't work. 3. Very regularly (for most of the night every 25 seconds), there was a noise from the bathroom like hissing steam. Very difficult to get any sleep. The host eventally responded to my second msg about it later the next day and said it would be fixed after I left. I got the feeling it was a known problem and I doubt it will be fixed. No attempt was made to help or to try to fix it for me, or to offer another room. 4. Anything that is on the bedside cabinet is no business of the cleaner and it is not up to her to throw anything out that is on there!

The hotel was just off the centere square, good location, within a few minutes of the train and bus terminal. The room was perfect for us, as we were interested in just sleeping and washing etc. We spent very limited time in the room, air conditioning was excellent, and washing facilities shower etc was all there. The bed was comfortable, and we got new towels daily changed. We would recommend it as a destination as it was easy to hang around the main square, lots of activities going on, and loads of restaurants to choose from and worth an evening sitting down outside , very relaxing and romantic. As a suggestion we used the train station alot and spent a day in mountpellier and another day in nimes . The train journeys vary and prices can be high, but we'll worth the journeys. Lots to see and do. If it's the beach you are looking for, beziers is a big town but we branced out further and we suggest People use the airport to branch out cap de angle, for the beach resorts if that's what your looking for or for the city experiences on a short trip, toulouse, montpellier, nimes or even marseille is within two hours by train. Use beziers for a night , then book a night here and there in other cities as you decide would be a way to go if you're not enjoying or looking for more things to do and see. Train prices can be 80- 100 euro return for two ppl, so make the most out of the cities you're travelling to. We loved France, don't forget to google the reviews on restaurants and the best boulangeries, they were the highlight of our trip, France at its best.

What is there not to like about France. The room was basic, it was cheap, quite, clean , could do with updating, but very rustic and the staff were really friendly and we would use it again in the future, good location, excellent value for money. Beziers hotel confort thanks you.
