Beautifully upkept heritage hotel with funky contemporary vibe

Historic pub in the heart of Bathurst , free of pokies. As pubs are forced to diversify with ever increasing alcohol prices and diminished drinking culture. The Victoria excels with fine (ie well priced and hearty big!) meals and accommodation . Opposite the train and bus terminals, every part of my stay was 12/10 , totally unfaulted. Support the country pubs. I loved the high ceilings

My third time staying here. Rooms are clean & comfortable. Shared bathrooms are modern and clean. Staff are friendly & professional. Plenty of free, on street parking, and located within walking distance (or a super quick drive) to local shops. The food from the pub restaurant never disappoints.

Was a little disappointed that there wasn't a mini fridge in the single rooms - no issues for me on this trip as it was only two nights - but if staying longer, I would have wanted one available in my room.

The hotel is conveniently close to the Railway Station. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. Shared bathrooms were clean and available when I wanted to use them. I was able to come and go whenever I wanted. As I was only looking for a room it was perfect for my requirements for this trip. Despite being above a hotel, it was also very quiet.

There are 3 flights of stairs to climb to get to the room and no lift. Parking is in the street. The TV in the room is rather small.

The double room I booked (7) was great for mental friend.

The single room (15) was not so good - the mattress not so comfortable.

Location was great

The dirty towels were still on the bathroom floor after the first night.
