Travellers Rest

The hosts were welcoming, friendly and very hospitable. He cares that his guests have a good time and is very knowledgeable about the island and Thailand giving us lots of great restaurant and bar recommendations. Des always had time for the guests and made sure we never missed out on banana cake. We stayed for 10 nights and this was a repeat visit. The rooms were spacious, very comfortable, clean and had every facility we needed inc. Kettle, fridge, toaster and sofa. We have been travelling for for two months and had the best 10 nights sleep here. The garden and seating areas are very relaxing and calm. The location is great...Just 5 mins walk from gorgeous tropical beaches with jungle views. It was like home from home. We had some lovely evenings out with our hosts and felt very welcomed throughout.

Big room Clean

The owner, Des, was a truly lovely man who made sure that I was well taken care of in terms of the room as well as transportation! The room was huge and had a corner where you get a fridge (keep stored water very cold), a water fountain (to refill water), toaster, microwave and electric kettle. Utensils and cutlery were freely available. I had a large bed, a couch, LED TV and dining table and chairs. The bathroom was also very clean and with working heated water. As Des was an ex-military man, the premises were kept spick and span, as you expect someone with a regimental background. Location wise, it was in the middle of a town - Klong Phrao where you have lots of food, massage and supermart options. The beach was right across the road via a short walk. All in, this was an exceptional stay for me and I had far worse lodging in Thailand paying more; so excellent value for money.

Everything. Great spacious room and bathroom, kitchen facilities were great and location was really good. The owner was lovely and was really helpful in anything we needed.

The only suggestion would be to bring toliet paper / suggest a room clean during the stay but its not a biggie!
