This hotel is very reasonably priced and is in the heart of the very small area containing hotels and restaurants. To be honest, the rest of Palenque doesn't have much to offer. It's very much a base for the ruins, a 15-minute drive away, and some amazing waterfalls, a similar distance. The rooms are fine, they do the job.

The staff weren't particularly friendly here, unlike all the other people we met in Mexico. The public parts of the hotel have reproduction artefacts etc. to give it interest, but the rooms are just standard hotel rooms which could be anywhere in the world.
