Riviera Motor Lodge

I love the location. I love the fire pit by the river. That's why we booked the hotel for the second time.

The black out blinds roll from the top down. As room 113 is directly on the path way to the firepit - it would be kind to have either a transparent current for semi privacy OR a shade that allows sunlight in from the top and privacy at the bottom. Motorcycle riders who stayed at the hotel felt the need to park in the small triangular space between cars - which was directly out our window and they came, and went, and came and went throughout the night. The bathroom layout was sort of comical. Toilet was at least 8 - 10 inches from the wall and crooked. And with that lay out, you can only enter the narrow shower from directly under the shower head - which left lots of water on the floor. The spare chair was jammed between the heater and first queen bed - which would have been a concern in the winter with the heater on.

Heater was loud but they said they would look at it.

The staff is friendly, efficient, and very accommodating. We really Appreciated the coffee in the lobby. It is located by the river and it was Very easy to walk into and around town. There is a nice gas fire pit to enjoy by the river too.

It is an older property so it might be expected, but there was a definite old building stench to the room when we first got there. I used some products to alleviate some of the smell. The bed was not the most comfortable, but it wasn’t terrible. Having some doormats would be helpful to alleviate some of the dirt and mud that is tracked in from the parking lot sidewalk into the foyer of the room.

The hotel was really clean and well kept, and the staff was really friendly. The hotel had a really cool firepit in the back of it,

The pillows in the room were very small, and not that comfortable. But that's the only negative I could mention.

Great that it’s dog-friendly. Loved being on the North Platte.
