Quaint property right on the lake edge. Friendly owners but only speak German. Reasonable price for location

Excellent location... Near the train station, Altstadt, and other attractions like the castle etc. It's directly across Pfaffenteich. The room was very nice and clean, the bed was comfortable, the sheets smelled new and fresh, breakfast was more than adequate. The owner and the employees were kind.

There's nothing to complain about. I highly recommend this place.

Very friendly owners, they made sure to make me feel welcome. The rooms are older, but clean and functional. Breakfast was also good, the lady even baked fresh buns for me, that were still warm.

We had some trouble with the password for the wi-fi on the top floor where I stayed, but I could manage without.

The owners were lovely people and made me feel really at home. I would certainly stay here again.

The hotel owner is a friendly retired lady who is helpful and provides a personal touch to staying at the hotel. We had a large room, more like a kind of studio with a bench, table and a water cooker. Breakfast is plentiful as you would expect in Germany.

The hotel is close to the city centre and is situated at the lake. It's quiet and the lady who owns the hotel is very helpful. The room was big and the beds were good, but the pillow was too soft for me. The room was very clean too. The breakfast is ok and plenty. When we were there it was Easter. The owner of the hotel got us a chocolate bunny. Very thoughtfu!

I needed to find a place to stay in Schwerin at short notice and this place came up on Tripadvisor. It is in an excellent position right next to the lake in the centre of the town, and a short walk to local shops, restaurants, the castle and other sights. There was parking very close by on the street, and it felt like a safe place to leave the car. I was welcomed in by the owner late one evening and shown to my room. I speak no German, and he spoke no English, but we worked it out! The room was basic, with rather old-fashioned decor, but warm and comfortable, and I slept well. Breakfast the following morning was good, and was included in the extremely reasonable price. This is a not a smart or fancy place but it was very clean and comfortable, run by nice people, and excellent value.
