NZThe Firefly Resort is a very interesting and nice little resort. The people are very friendly and they try hard to make your stay enjoyable. My room was basic, but was quite large, very clean, and had everything I needed. The value for the dollar is great. Like others said, the grounds are super interesting and filled with orchids. The breakfast was very nice for the few people who were there when I stayed.
ZAThe room and bathroom were spacious, bed comfy and the staff very friendly! Great coffee! Away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre. Lovely surroundings - big property and lovely orchids!
The hotel seemed generally very empty, and the rooms are sparsely decorated - for example, no chair in the bedroom, big tables used as bedside tables. Could have been cleaner - seemed to need a good sweep. While the grounds are well maintained, leaves were being burned creating a very smokey and unpleasant atmosphere. Not great - but apparently was to minimize the mosquitoes. Also had a lovely exotic bird in a very very tiny cage - not good at all.
ITReally nice and helpful staff, good restaurant and enjoyable place. Clean bed linens. They try their best.
They don't accept credit card (for the moment). The bed, toilet and sink are clean but not the room in general, the chairs outside were really dirty. it is 15 min from the jetty, not so easy to find a grab
