Hotel La Pergola

The breakfast and freshly brewed coffee was very nice.

We visited the hotel in October, when the weather was still quite warm. The room supposedly had air conditioning, but we could not get it to work. When we asked one of the staff to help us with the AC, she said: "oh, the AC does not work, just open the window; it is not that hot outside." We kept the window open for a while, but had to close it since mosquitoes were coming in, and the street noise was also relentless. We were traveling with a 7 month old baby and asked for a crib for her. We were given some ancient crib held together with tape and rusty screws; for 10 Euros per night.

The breakfast and the service is fantastic. There is a large selection of cereals, meats, pastries, juices, coffee or tea.I cannot fault this hotel.The hotel is located very close to Verona which is easily visited by bus, Number 52 or 110, for the price of a few Euros and about a twenty minute ride if that. The hotel has a great swimming pool so after the trip to Verona, return, and relax poolside. The rooms and bathrooms are modern and extremely well maintained. If I could give this place and eleven I would.

There is nothing to dislike about this hotel or the staff and owners, absolutely great place to stay.
