Cabañas Alta Mar

Great little place to stay , right on the beach, you can reach it on foot via walking along the beach from where the boats drop you off. They also provide drinking water facilities at the cabins. No air con but fan is provided in rooms. We loved it and would totally return

Great room facing the ocean. Comfortable bed and great balcony. No ac but fan was good for us. Sink needs to be repaired but wasn’t such a big deal. It is a bit far from the village and restaurants. I would definitely recommend arranging to be picked up in the village off the boat or if coming by truck to get dropped at the property. Brutal walk with all our bags in the sand.

A little far from restaurants and the ocean was too rough in front of the cabana and so we had to walk the 15 mins in the sand/sun (a bit tough at times) to get to the more protected swim areas. Not good for children. But was still a lovely place for us.

It was quiet and the WiFi was decent

This property is not 5 stars. It’s not even a bed & breakfast. The cabins are relatively old and a little smelly. They are not really clean as well. There is no air conditioning. The reception is mostly empty. You have to be careful to walk the sand as there are bottle caps in the sand. I cannot recommend this place, there are much better options available.

Fantastic location, beautiful view on the balcony from the sea-view Cabañas! Very comfortable lounge chairs that guests were able to use. Staff very friendly and proactive about cleaning our cabaña!

Rooms can be quite hot/ humid at night due to only 1 portable fan for 4 guests

Rooms are comfortable and clean, hosts are very nice and helpful.

Although I didn’t mind the location it’s about 5min walk from “downtown” and the surf spot, if you are looking for something in town it’s not it. We personally enjoyed the walk on the beach. We definitely wish that they had on site some drinks to buy and enjoyed there, but again not the biggest deal for us, there is so much choices around !!

The location is great it’s quiet and a 5 min walk to town or the break.

The house on the beach was sinking I felt like I was on a boat! The bed was level at least!

The staff were lovely and drove us to the centre of town with our bags upon checkout and organised the colectivo for us. The room was spacious and clean and it is right on the beachfront.

No aircon but a good fan in the room.

Beautiful cabin, nicely located, very kind amd friendly staff

Incredible beach front location. View from Cabana was amazing. Loved the hammock on the deck. Mosquito nets were needed and worked well. Big comfortable beds. They provided drinking water and picked us up and dropped us off to boat.

No air con and was stifling at night. Understand though that the power supply to the island is limited and this is just part of staying in this little slice of paradise.
