Hotel am Schloss

We chose this hotel because of the proximity to an event that we attended. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean.We paid extra for the breakfast, and it was satisfying.

We got a room on the 4th floor with no elevator. It was not a big deal, but the room itself was super awkward. 2 twin beds and a post in the middle of the room, blocking the passage and the TV. The bathroom was tiny, the door couldn't open fully because it was reaching the sink. The coffee table was under a sloping wall with no near outlet for the kettle. We had to unplug the night lamp to make some tea

Good location, close to Herrenhäuser Garten. Free parking right in front of the hotel. The recepcionist was super friendly and helpful.

No elevators :(

Could not check-in as the hotel double booked the room

I booked and paid, just there was no room as it was double booked. We were 2 guys at the desk and the hotel guy asked us to choose wether me or the other guest should stay. As the other guest was older, and paid me back the cost of the taxi, I left the hotel (22:00 pm without any alternative)

WiFi didn't work, at one day there were no hot water

Perfect location by the Castle's garden. Quiet environment. Partially renovated. Helpfull personal.

Looks like the hotel is operated by a family and so some small imperfections has to be tolerated. But for the price it was OK.
