Hotel Rafay

Location ideal for getting around. Both the train and bus stations were within a 10 minute walk. Bed comfy, shower hot, hotel quiet and peaceful. Kettle with unlimited tea, coffee and milk.

The only issue I had was replacing coffee and milk. I was assured I could top up at anytime but each time I passed the reception was closed. When I eventually caught up he suggested I call in on my way back (I was headed out for the evening and had no doubt there'd be no one there on my return). I had to push for him to give me them there and then! Seemed over protective of a few sachets of coffee and milk. Also the TV remote was a bit dodgy, not always responding! But minor compared with all the positives. Hopefully there will be no issues with the return of the deposit. But I won't know until after submitting this review.

Please put toiletries in the bathroom.

Staff are not present most of Sunday & the TV had stopped responding to the remote control. Netflix doesn't work. This is listed as a hotel but there is no bar or restaurant. The facilities listed DAILY cleaning but there was none for the duration of my four-night stay & the bins need emptied badly.

Great location and free parking.Key system was good as you didn't need a key or card just a number. The room was a good size too.

A little bit scuffy, marked walls, the top of the wardrobe was full of dust, the remote control had no cover for the battery compartment so the tv was a nightmare to operate, no mirror near a socket to dry my hair, the room was very warm as no air con there was a fan but this just circulated the hot air, only one large towel and only one loo roll. However we were given them on our request. . The cleaners left a massive pile of dirty laundry right in front of the entrance to our room which we had to move out the way to get to the door.
