The location of The Cowley /The Wallace Hotels (they're attached and you may be accommodated in either) was perfect. It took us 15mins to walk to the Pleasure Beach and 5 to Central Pier: the hotel is right on the front. Our car was parked, cheaply (£10 per night) at the back in view of our window and there were grocery shops within 20m of the property, including a big B&M. The staff are lovely, really welcoming and the dog is very cute and friendly, but kept well away if guests aren't dog fans. The family room we booked was the best we've had. It's an L shape so it felt as if the adult part was in a separate room to the kids so we could watch TV and have a glass of wine in the evening without disturbing our children. The bathroom is small but has everything you need. For a traditional, budget hotel this was absolutely ideal for us and we would certainly stay again and recommend without hesitation. All the moaners clearly have ideals above their willingness to pay more and need to give their heads a wobble. It was clean, spacious, well stocked and everything worked as it should. We were made to feel very welcome and our children were all greeted in a friendly way, which means a lot. We loved our stay here and couldn't fault it.
