It was a little further out than I thought .
GBGBGBGreatly little quirky village pub with genuine character and a good atmosphere. The Karaoke music night on Saturday was entertaining listening to my room above the bar. I didn't mind at all because they had the decency to send me a message before my arrival that is was happening. Staff were lovely and friendly. Food was nice and the service good. My single bed was really comfy and clean and I slept well both nights. The muffins at breakfast were tasty too! Would happily stay again.
Not a lot. For the cost of the room it I thought it was good value for money and didn't disappoint.

GBThe pub is great, food was lovely staff were friendly amd helped where they could. The cottage itself needs work.
Single glazed windows (some with cracks. E.g. bathroom window) let in a breeze, was very noisy as the road outside of the bedrooms is very busy with wagons/lorries and farm equipment which are noisy vehicles. Decor is dated and had an unfinished feel in some areas of the cottage. Sofas not very comfortable. Upstairs very cold even with heating on. Has two fridges as one does not work, when we arrived milk had been left in the one that does not work and had curdled so left an awful smell in the living area.

Asked for a twin room and got no.3 a double, directly above the bar with karaoke on till late, we was advised of this but didn't expect to be above the bar with my 9 y.o daughter,we had driven 8 hours and was very tired. The lady that checked us in gave zero information about breakfast or WiFi etc, then we waited for her to come and take our drinks order and she never came back, luckily a lovely waitress did after 15 mins. All in it did what I needed, however I wouldn't stay again when music is on, but I will be back for pizza.
