Tribe Boutique Hotel - Adults Only

Établissement très bien décoré et pensé pour se détendre autour de la piscine : transat, lits, bar. Les chambres sont confortables et on y voit le sens du détail (parapluie mis à disposition au cas où)

Very comfortable beds and pillows. The hotel is located in the center of dominical, just 2 minutes walk from the beach, yet it is super quiet and in the nature. Beautiful pool area and communal kitchen, well equipped. Super nice staff.

Lovely chill relaxing pool area with chill music and cool egg chairs and loungers. The staff were friendly and helpful. The mattress topper and memory foam pillows were comfortable and the toiletries in the showers smelled really good! The shower was strong and had good hot water. Loved having filtered water and the kitchen area at our disposal. First place we stayed in Costa Rica with more than 1-ply toilet paper! (Was much appreciated!). Rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels. Strong AC. Great location in middle of town. Free parking available on site.

The bedding/ pillows had a slightly damp smell to them even when we first checked in. The outdoor yoga/ stretching area was a little dirty and could be better maintained. The general surrounding area of the hotel (entrance/ car park/ grounds) are quite wild and could perhaps do with some proper paved walkways for luggage with wheels/ for walking around - particularly after/ when it rained, walking in and out of the hotel became tricky to navigate due to stones and puddles.

For a queen room the bed is really tiny, is actually a double bed and quite expensive

La struttura è bella, arredata molto bene, pulita, molto tranquilla (il fatto che sia adult only è un grande plus), centrale. La nostra camera era una suite ed aveva due letti e un divano nella zona living. Perfetta per me e la mia amica per avere i nostri spazi. La piscina è stupenda e non c’è mai nessuno. Mi è piaciuto tantissimo questo hotel e non sarei voluta andare via.

Potrebbero offrire un servizio di colazione almeno convenzionato con una struttura vicina.

The main detail that attracted us to this hotel was the adults only part of the advertisement. Then when looking at the pictures we fell in love with the decor and the peacefulness we felt just looking at them. The room was large (probably the largest in the hotel?) and very comfortable. The room had four components, the bathroom area, two consecutive rooms and a sitting area at the front of the room. The AC worked really well but mainly in the room where it was situated and a bit in the room next door but not as much out in the sitting room. They have a common kitchen area where we cooked breakfast daily and others also made lunch/dinner. The pool and outside lounge area were very nice and relaxing to chill daily. The room was really quiet, very good for sleeping. The town of Dominical is a bit secluded but there are lots of different restaurants and shops around, although the food is not great at least there are options but the prices are USA prices so that's a bummer. The hotel does not have a dedicated space for a group yoga practice but there is a small covered area where one can practice but it only fits a few mats.

We found out that the hotel used to be a hostel. It was renovated and the word “boutique” was added to the name. With "boutique hotels", you have certain expectations. These expectaions seem to be confrmed by the photos that you find here, which are quite fake — the expectations are in no way met. The hotel is not a proper building but wooden huts. You can hear every single sound the neighboring guests make. The rooms are so small that two adults cannot pass each other without touching. The bathroom is tiny and not particularly nice. The hotel bar was a bleak, depressing place. The only good thing was the pool — and even that had too much chlorine.
