Aquelia Rose Hotel

I had the pleasure of staying at Equalia Rose for a few days, and I can’t recommend this place highly enough. The location is a true haven of peace, nestled in a stunning natural setting. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and tastefully decorated, providing all the comfort needed for a wonderfully relaxing stay. What truly sets this place apart is the warm welcome and professionalism of the staff. Every team member is attentive to guests' needs, always ready to offer high-quality service with a smile. I was especially impressed by the owner, who was incredibly accommodating and dedicated to ensuring that my stay was perfect. His hospitality and commitment to guest satisfaction are truly exceptional. I will definitely return on my next visit to the area. A big thank you to the entire team for making my stay so memorable!

Our stay at Equalia Rose Hotel in Jambiani, Zanzibar, was a mix of highs and lows. The beachfront location was amazing, with a room offering stunning views just steps from the beach. However, frequent power outages affected our stay, leading to poor Wi-Fi and an inconsistent water boiler. Despite these issues, the friendly staff did everything they could to help. The breakfast, while decent, lacked variety and was the same each day.

There is a really big problem with water pressure…

The location, having chosen the room with sea view. It feels like being on the beach. Breakfast was good, the room is clean and the staff lovely. They even arranged for us a tour of Jambiani with a local guide which was an incredible experience.

To improve the syrups for the pancakes. A bit more noise cancellation would be good. Sellers are quite intrusive and almost enter the property to try to sell things or tours, but I guess it’s an unavoidable part of touristic Zanzibar.

The location was perfect and close to bigger hotels with restaurants. The hotel is clean and the staff is lovely.

I wish there was a mosquito net. Although there’s netting around the windows and sliding doors, mosquitos still got in on the second night and feasted on us.

it is right by the sea and you can see the sea directly from the window, which I really enjoyed. The breakfast was great on the terrace and the beach is right outside the door. The staff is excellent and nice, the people are super nice and I had a great time there. Especially the sunrises there are beautiful.

Situated right on the beach offering a great place to sit and watch the ocean (and a safe place to leave belongings while going for a swim).

Electricity kept tripping

The hotel is on the beach,we booked a room with sea view, we enjoy a lot every sunrise, amazing feeling. Also they clean room everyday, very kind and polite stuff. They can help you with anything you want. Good breakfast and you ca order food in your room with a 15% discount.

The room was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed spending our last days on the island there.

Every staff member was charging us for a bottle of water a diferent price. They forgot to bring us our change back. They overcharged us for the city tax collecting it at the local currency with their own rate. The last day they did not wanted to serve us breakfast. We were waiting for one hour and the food came at the same time with our driver.
