This is a difficult report to write: the bedroom was large, well appointed and the bathroom very clean. We had read that the staff was friendly and helpful. For us it was a very mixed experience. We arrived at what seemed to be a very bad time, 5.15pm, having been delayed by an incident on a motorway. There was no one at the reception desk. Eventually a frazzled lady arrived and told us that she could not find our booking. Finally we were abruptly and grumpily told that our booking made via booking.com was indeed there. To be fair, the lady who had come out of the kitchen (the owner?) to sort out the situation did show us to the room and helped us (we are older people) with our suitcase. However, at that point, we felt very much unwelcome and a bother to them all which was most unpleasant. Things improved greatly with the meal which was excellent and served with a smile. On our departure, the following day, again there was no one at reception and we had to go hunting for a member of staff to settle our bill. It is a great shame as this could be a pleasant place to stay, but maybe best to avoid at peak time….

As mentioned above, there is a shortage of staff and all those present seemed overworked and harassed. The heatwave going on at the time did not help matter. We are sorry for those who did eventually help but this is one of the worst welcome we have experienced in a very long time. Don’t arrive around 5pm!

Aardige eigenaresse,goed ontbijt. Mooie grote kamer.

Veel geluid buiten de accommodatie. Kon niet me de ramen open slapen.

Het personeel echt behulpzaam en vriendelijk, zie je niet vaak meer.
