Hotel Magdalena

Lela, owner of Hotel Magdalena, is a ingenious woman who knows how to host, cook, make jams, bake cakes, clean, build her own place with her very own touch, grow a wonderful welcoming garden - well, practically everything. The place is a little Georgian heaven. If you look for a place near Tbilisi to rest, take your time during a trip, or visit Mtskheta (the place is located in a central spot in the old city just off the main street) , Magdalena is a must.

I searched for disadvantages and couldn't really find them! So here's one petty one : in one of the rooms the wifi was weak and not available some of the time (standing near the other room I had wifi). But if you have 4 of 5G that's not a problem.

Hotel Magdalena is absolutely beautiful! The rooms are simple and very clean, it has the charm of an old house in the middle of Mtskheta. The host is lovely!

Located just in the heart of old Mzcheta. On premise parking. Nice host. We got some grapes when we left.

What an excellent host! Hotel Magdalena is one of those places where the host makes the experience, and you also get the benefit of staying in a clean and well maintained establishment. The breakfast was really good! Lots of space to chill out on the bottom or upper verandahs. The hotel is a little oasis tucked in a half block from the Cathedral. Its quiet. A short walk to a number of restaurants. This would be my first choice if I was ever to return to Mtskheta.

The aerial photo that gives directions to the hotel is a bit confusing because it is facing east, instead of the traditional northern direction.

The location is ideal super close to the cathedral,the woman managing was nice even she did't spoke english that well.The hotel in itself is really beautiful

The hotel is quite difficult to found, not enought sign around the street

Great value for money, superb location right in the middle of the old city. And the host was extremely friendly and helpful.
