Everything was OK

This hotel really undersells itself. It's a calm and serene classical mid-century building in the architectural style of Frank Lloyd Wright and all the staff were so attentive and helpful. And although it's a little bit of a walk to the main areas of Naoshima and the galleries, they also have bikes you can use (which many people do on the island). There are a small number of excellent food options close by (including their own restaurant) and it was a much nicer stay than I had anticipated. It is well worth staying on the island if you can, and the island shuttle bus stops only a few steps away.

There was nothing we didn't like. I'd happily stay there again.
