Criterion Hotel Grenfell

Friendly staff, lovely clean room and facilities, great balcony overlooking the Main Street.

Spacious room and area. Great atmosphere in the pub

Bedroom and shared bathroom were modern, tasteful and immaculate, and had obviously been refurbished relatively recently. Clean linen, towels and shower gel were provided, and there was a clothes rack and a fridge in the bedroom. There was also a window opening out onto a deck, and an air conditioning unit. There was a kettle, microwave and sink in what seemed to be a public bar area between the bathroom and bedroom. We didn’t use these facilities, but they seemed to be available for our use.

This is a room above a pub. We stayed on a Saturday night and there was loud music pumping in the beer garden til 1130pm. There is no hotel reception (you check in with the bar staff), and info was limited. For example they didn’t provide a WiFi code, or point out the kettle, microwave and sink, although I saw another guest using them in the morning so I assume they are for guests to use.

Very clean and comfortable.
