Houseboat Young Manhattan

This was our first experience staying in a house boat. It was great! The staff were friendly and always ready to help. The boat has a beautiful deck, a spacious living room and a dining area. Very neatly maintained. We booked two rooms and stayed for three days. It was comfortable and cozy. The rooms are well ventilated, at the same time, windows were covered with mesh to prevent insects entering in. The washrooms had hot and cold water all the time. The shikara that took us to and from the house boat was punctual. We even had a small tiff with the shikara guy, but Javeed Bhai, the owner sorted it out very well. Special thanks to the cook, who was always on his toes to tend to the guests.

We loved everything about the stay! However if there is one thing that I can say, the shikara guy who took us from land to the houseboat was a bit rude.

Nothing as such

Gentle staff.

The thing that i loved is the warmth with which they welcomed us. The staff here is really good. This houseboat has maintained good cleanliness and hygiene. Moreover, the chef here is fantastic. I remember my family having awesome time while having meals here. Iqbaal bhaijaan was really helpful. Infact Javed bhaijaan helped us to plan a crucial part of our trip. Overall i liked it.

I didn't opt for the breakfast

Houseboat is not in the front raw or with good scenery. There is no morning vibe of Dhal lake or city.

The value added service provided by the staff, for example supporting requests, arranging transportation, suggestions on holidaymaking, etc., was pleasant and convenient. The laundry, dine-in, and breakfast services were especially helpful. Living in a houseboat in Srinagar is an experience that I can suggest everyone to explore; and can definitely recommend to have with Young Manhattan.

If there's a room for improvement, it would be on relocation of the houseboat to have a greater view of the Dal Lake. But I understand it might be too big of an ask.
