Shadow Surf Bay

We had the very best time in shadow surf bay. The place is very nice, 2 minutes from the beach, great surfing. The apart ment is clean, has a very well equipped kitchen, the breakfast is incredible good and varies day by day. The family is very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend the place and hope to come back.

Fantastic clean property near the beach and great restaurant at the back of the hotel. Plenty of towels and beach towels available.

Everything was great!

Location was excellent. Village vibe away from busy town area. 30 seconds to quiet Unukuruwa Beach which was clean with a couple of options for food and drink. Few minutes walk to Silent Beach which was clean, a little more populated (wouldn't call it busy though), with good food & drink options. Other good options for dinner, tuk tuks and Ayurevedic massage close by. Little shop just up the street. Accomodation was basic but very clean, little kitchen with good fridge and enough space. Friendly family and delicious, large & varied breakfast every day.

Loved the openness of the villa. We all felt like we had our own space and the huge balcony was a great space to hang out on for breakfast, early morning watching the peacock or squirrels in the nearby forest/ gardens. You are metres from the sea. We loved this bay, reef break for our 18 year old surfer and fantastic snorkelling for me. Was finally rewarded with a snorkel with a turtle on my last swim as the waves were gentle and no surfers were on the break and that’s where it likes to hang out. The owners are brilliant- helpful, delicious breakfast and good recommendations for other beaches to visit nearby- silent beach and Ranlakshmi Paradise beach

We love that there is space for our family of four. The separate bedroom means our kids can go to bed and have quiet even if we don’t want to as most family rooms are one big room and this has the extra room on the side. The mini kitchen is perfect with a big fridge and kettle and hot plate - great when you’re wanting to fix something quick and cheap for a meal. The breakfast is enormous and has variety and is cooked/prepared fresh on request. The location is perfect and it literally a 30 second walk onto the beach. There is parking and the staff are so friendly and helpful. We couldn’t ask for more.

Owner did his best! We felt like home, apartment was clean, spacious and have very nice garden. Beach is very close, lots of restaurants and nice places. Breakfast was 10/10, we had a lot of food, everything was super delicious!

Nothing, everything was perfect!

Our stay at Shadow Surf Bay was exceptional. Although we experienced heavy rainfall we managed to get in some beach swimming at the two close beaches. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Pradeep, the manager, was very welcoming and assisted us with information and onward transport. Thank you.

What could have been better? Just the weather.
