"Loved this stay. Room, staff, and breakfast was fabulous"

9.0

The staff, the location, the authenticity of the pub and room.

Room needs a bit more light - just a product of the build. Not much you could do.

The stylish decor. Very comfortable bed. Great breakfast and jolly staff.

Nowhere to put toiletries in the bathroom. A small shelf would be useful

"Highly enjoyable and recommended."

10.0

The main thing about this pub is the friendliness of every member of staff who do everything to make you feel welcome and accommodate any requests. The food is excellent and both food and drinks are competitively priced. Having a band play ever other weekend is also a good selling point and last night's act Billy and the Biscuit Brothers were very entertaining. Thanks and look forward to coming again!

"An excellent community pub, with good accommodation"

9.0

A really good community owned pub with a great atmosphere. The food was very good, breakfasts excellent and we had 2 evening meals both were very good and great value. A great selection of ales was available and at reasonable price too. The village community shop across the street was excellent with a great variety of foodstuffs that you could buy by weight, with an environmentally aware “refil” ethos for many staple items. All the staff whether at the pub or in the shop were very friendly and made you feel at ease.

We stayed in a ground floor room and felt the need to keep the curtains closed during the day to feel more private so maybe consider adding some blinds to improve privacy without the need to close the curtains. We did find that the weekend breakfast time was a little late at 10-11 am which meant that it ate into the day a bit too much before you could get out to enjoy the locality, but it didn’t spoil our enjoyment too much and appreciate that this was probably to do with the logistics of running the pub which of course is the focus for the community.

"An excellent stay!"

9.0

We had a fantastic stay here and would absolutely return / recommend the Trawden Arms to others. Our room was in a separate building to the main pub, just a few steps away across a courtyard, and was spacious and comfortable; everything was smartly finished, creating a modern place to stay. The addition of a mini fridge, along with teas / coffees / hot chocolate, were handy whilst the bathroom was smart and clean, with a good shower. The pub itself was very welcoming, with plenty of seating and a great selection of beers on tap. Breakfast in the morning was excellent.

Nothing - everything was great.
