Behaviour of the staffs

I’m an English middle aged, solo lady and I stayed here for a month . I was very happy with my room (Jacob) and all the facilities. In Europe hotel rooms are cleaned daily, which can be a bit of a pest if you want to be left alone. Here you just ask and they will do it..but you must ask. ..Although the Caretaker, Siama, is diligent in checking if you want or need anything, on a regular basis. All the staff were lovely, accommodating and helpful. The location right by family shops, small restaurants and the taxi rank is perfect. There’s a fantastic vegetable market right opposite, although the hotel kitchen is not actually a shared kitchen but If you ask them they may let you chop up some salad! The top terrace is very nice to sit out and relax. No one bothers you, but if you want, you can chat to other guests and have some very interesting conversations.

The only thing I didn’t like is the fact that the wall between my room and next is definitely not soundproof, although the description says it is . Being there for a while, I saw many guests come and go. Some were very shouty and inconsiderate. I know it’s always like this in hotels but with good soundproofing it’s less stressful.

Good location relative to Millenium Center. Taxi stand next door is really convenient. Staff are friendly and helpful. Dinners were excellent, and they cooked vegetarian food for us.

We walk a lot so we were okay with this, but it’s more or less straight uphill to the Millennium Center. Those who would find such walking a challenge should take note.
