Kibbutz Malkiya Travel Hotel

The kibbutz pool was nice, big and clean. The choice and taste of salads at the breakfast was impressive. The kibbutz supermarket had a nice choice of everything, awesome grapes and cherry tomatoes.

1. The dirt. We checked in on Saturday at 18:00. The room looked like it hasn't been cleaned for at least 6 months. There floors were covered in dust or sand (see pic. attached) , there were spiderwebs and ants in the kitchenette. Since we were with a baby who needed to sleep early, we went asking to clean the room the next morning, around 8 am. The manager confirmed it will be cleaned. We came back from the pool at 12 pm, it wasn't cleaned. We asked again to come and clean at 3-4 pm, after our daughter's day sleep. They didn't come. After the 3rd reminder, a day after we checked in, we got our room cleaned (the spiderwebs didn't go anywhere). On the last evening we came back to the room to see hundreds or thousands of ants all over the place. We managed to get most of them out with water and a mop within 40 min or so, but they kept coming during the night. Luckily, the mext morning we left. 2. Noise. Our house had 4 rooms and a shared space at the entrance. The is no soundproofing whatsoever. On the first night our neighbours (10 - 15 people) did barbecue, celebrated, yelled and played guitar from 8 pm to 12 am. Their right. But we couldn't sleep till they finished (the baby struggled to sleep starting 8 pm), and we couldn't even go outside the room, cos if we would've opened the door, our daughter would definitely wake up from all the noise and light. So we just had to stay in bed for 4 hours trying to keep the baby asleep. A very lovely and relaxing vacation start. 3. Nothing to eat for lunch and dinner. You are not allowed to cook in the room. Why the kitchenette then?? There is no restaurant or cafe in the kibbutz. The closest places are at least 20 min drive. Other options are ordering delivery (70 shekels delivery fee and 200 nis min order) or eating snacks from the supermarket. 4. The price. Considering all of the above, I feel I've been robbed. This place is worth 10 times less than it's requesting.

Pool Breakfast

No coffee machine at Saturday morning. Early check out ( at 2:00) Pool close early in summer (6:00 pm)

המלון ממוקם באמצע הקיבוץ מלכיה, הצוות מאוד חברותי ונכון לעזור. הביאו לנו מפה של הקיבוץ וגם הצעות לטיולי שטח מסביב. הטבע נהדר, בקיבוץ יש נופים מדהימים במרחק הליכה מהחדר ששהינו בו. היה ממש כיף לצאת החוצה בבוקר, לשתות קפה בחוץ. שקט ושלווה! בקיבוץ ברכה גדולה שאליה ניתן להיכנס חופשי לאורחי המלון, מגישים ארוחת בוקר טובה. מה שמאוד נדיר כאן זה חדר שמתאים למשפחה עם שלושה ילדים במחיר צנוע יחסית! מהחדר אפשר היה לצאת ישר החוצה לחצר ולקיבוץ. בתוך הקיבוץ יש גן שעשועים קטן, אבל חדש. ילדים ממש אהבו אותו. היה לנו ממש כיף להישאר ולקחת הפוגה מהחיים העירוניים שלנו 😊

החדר הוא חדר קיבוצי פשוט וצנוע, נקי ויש בו את כל מה שצריך לשהיה עם הילדים.

אורי מנהל המלון היה מאוד נחמד ועזר לנו בכל דבר, חיפש לנו דברים לעשות וטיולים. גם הצוות בארוחת הבוקר אדיב ונחמד

Very peaceful and relaxing . The staff was very welcoming and very available for any question or request.
