Palacio Chaves Hotel

O hotel é muito interessante, tem um jardim muito bonito, apesar de um pouco descuidade, fica junto ao castelo, a paisagem e a arquitetura é incrível .

Parece um detalhe, mas para mim importante, os travesseiros horríveis. A piscina não estava a funcionar, uma pena porque estava muito calor e estava com espectativa de usá-la.

Good location, beautiful building, clean. Facilities I give an ok note because the pool is not available but the rest was perfect. Check in easy. Location is central, that comes with some challenges to drive thru the narrow streets but it's part of the experience. We parked next to the hotel without any issue

Dormir dans un magnifique palais où il n'y a que 4 chambres et dont toutes les pièces richement meublées sont accessibles. Le confort de la très grande chambre et de la douche moderne. La proximité de la Plaza Mayor.

La difficulté pour accéder à l'hôtel. L'absence de réception (il faut téléphoner et patienter devant la porte fermée jusqu'à l'arrivée de la préposée). Le jardin et la piscine totalement à l'abandon. Enfin, alors que le petit-déjeuner, convenable, est facturé 12 euros, on nous a refusé un deuxième petit pain. Comment dit on mesquin en espagnol ?

The whole property was a delight with a comfortable bedroom and good shower room. Plenty of space for clothes and cases. The lighting in the bathroom was superb but it was a bit too subtle in the bedroom. Great location with available parking close by - although challenging to negotiate the historical streets. The breakfast room was welcoming and we loved the non-corporate feel of the place. The pool was not open but would be a lovely space in the summer.

Unfortunately the advertised 'bar' did not exist, even though there was a price list in the room. This was a major negative for us as we like to have a cup of tea on returning from sightseeing or a glass of wine before going out in the evening. Had there been a kettle in the room this would have at least helped. We were given a key to the front door as the reception was only attended in the early morning - although you could phone for assistance. Breakfast was basic but the girl was extremely helpful in making teas 'the English way' for us.

Todo, es un hotel con un encanto único y distinto a los demás. Un mundo de libros y arte a tu mano. Es una experiencia totalmente recomendable y aunque algunos viajeros comentan que el acceso es difícil, no lo es, hay que entender que está en pleno casco histórico.

Las instalaciones

Heel ruime kamer en badkamer, met koelkastje en goed werkende airco. We vonden het een fijne kamer. Vriendelijk ontvangst, routebeschrijving ontvangen via whatsapp. De sfeer in het hotel is apart, veel boeken, veel verschillende woon/zitkamers, een beetje muf en donker, ook al brandde er altijd lampen. We waren de enige gasten, het was er heel stil. Er was duidelijk al lang niets meer gedaan aan het hotel. De locatie is perfect, restaurants en Plaza Mayor op loopafstand. We konden de auto goed parkeren

Het zwembad en de tuin. We hadden gehoopt in de tuin te kunnen zitten, maar we vonden het niet aangenaam, slecht onderhouden, en het zwembad was groen van de algen. We hebben 1x ontbeten in het hotel, maar we vonden het kwalitatief niet voldoen. De koffie was vies. Glaasje jus d'orange en glaasje leidingwater. Broodjes droog en geen vers fruit of tomaat oid. Het was ook een erg ongezellige en koude ontbijtruimte.
