Lovely, spotlessly clean room. Beautiful gardens. Very kind, friendly and interesting owners. Wonderful breakfast and the best eggs benedict we have ever had.

There was nothing we didnt like and couldnt improve on anything.

It felt like home

We have known Rolf's Country House for decades when Fredericka and Johannes' parents were running the place. We have watched it grow and and have always loved coming here when in Ireland and enjoying wonderful food and a warm welcome. We feel like old friends and have enjoyed bringing friends and family. Thank you to Fredericka and Johannes for welcoming the ever increasing Fry Family to celebrate Max's 30th birthday. Look forward to our next visit to Ireland which is always made perfect by visiting Rolf's.

We enjoyed three nights in the exceptional care of the friendly Haffner family - the hotel is very capably managed by Friedericke, with delicious meals prepared by Chef Johannes Haffner. The hotel is divided into three areas - main hotel, separate building with more rooms (and a delightful sitting area), and self-catering cottages, surrounding a sheltered sub-tropical garden area. We enjoyed every moment of our stay - the food, the ambience, and the verdant gardens which are beautiful. A complimentary welcoming drink is served in the garden should the weather allow, otherwise in the bar area. The rooms we stayed in are neat but were perfect for our needs. (There are two larger rooms available if one would prefer more space / bigger bed.) Do book dinner for at least one night - you won’t be disappointed! Breakfast is served with a continental style selection of pastries, breads, granola, fruit salad, yoghurts etc., and a menu choice of eggs cooked to order in 7 different ways. Hotel is within easy walking distance of Baltimore, and the ferries to the islands.

The property was well maintained and beautifully furnished and decorated. Breakfast was lovely and beautifully presented. The host could not have been helpful.
