Rolfs Country House

Rolfs prides itself on their welcome and the family run experience. From the moment I met Frederieke and Johannes and all the team I was made to feel welcomed and supported throughout my stay. The Haffner family extends to their daughters whose mothers values shine through and are both wonderful individuals themselves. It was so nice getting to know them all.

It would be really picky to pick out anything significant; some might not like the tea/coffee station not being in room. I was really ok with it and it was always clean and well stocked with pastries etc.

The property was clean and well located in a beautiful part of the country.

Beautiful grounds, well kept rooms and great location

We were looking for a local base for 3 nights in Baltimore and are so glad we followed the recommendations from previous reviews. We found all the positives to be accurate: from the genuinely friendly welcome from Friederike and Johannes (and the very well-behaved dogs!) and their team / family, to the excellent food (both dinner in the restaurant and the fresh continental and cooked daily breakfast) and the delightful and clean room (albeit a little on the smaller side if you don’t get one of the larger rooms), we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if we came back to Baltimore. Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable and also providing helpful tips on what to do and see in the area.

Their is nothing I disliked and highly recommend stay and for family celebrations.

Cannot recommend Rolfs enough. My partner and I were attending a wedding on Inis Beg and Fredericke helped us organise a taxi there and back. The breakfast every morning was absolutely gorgeous and we ate in the restaurant too which was simply sublime. The setting above Baltimore was truly spectacular and only a 10 minute walk to town. We definitely hope to return here someday. Thanks again for everything!!
