Historical significance, really nicely laid out and tastefully decorated, grains and views are amazing

No complaints hence we keep going back as it is only 15 minutes from where we live

"Beautiful views and, lovely staff"

The views were amazing, staff were so attentive and lovely, food was great and other guests were lovely too. Beds were sooo comfy, we spoke with Mac a lot and he was amazing, thank you Mac!

"Exceptional"

The staff were friendly and helpful and a credit to the hotel. The room we had 'The Cornwood' was huge and comfortable. The shower was lovely. Nice bar to sit and chat in and the view over the golf course was great. Breakfast was very good too.

Some areas could do with a bit of TLC but its an old building and it didn't affect our stay.

"Fabulous stay"

Lovely stay! Such a beautiful place. Room was immaculate and the bed was so comfy… best nights sleep I’ve had in a long time! Staff really friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Will be staying again when next in the area

Location, the views, rhododendron bushes. The staff were friendly and relaxed.

"Convenient for visiting Friends"

This Hotel was very convenient as we were visiting Friends who live in nearby Plympton. We stayed in a Courtyard Room as we had a dog with us so thought it would be more convenient. It wasn’t really as the Courtyard wasn’t secure. The Breakfast Menu was very good. Cooked beautifully and to order. I’m Gluten Free and that was catered for. Beds were very comfortable.

The staff weren’t overly friendly which was a shame. The dining room floor was filthy needed a mop and a sweep. The waiting member of staff the first morning at Breakfast had filthy trousers and top on. Not a good look. Our Bathroom smelt of stagnant water. The smell hit you. We were also charged for the dog which we were surprised by as there was no mention of that in the description on Booking.com.
