Gasthaus-Hotel Faltermaier

Beautiful traditional Gasthaus. Wonderful evening meal sitting outside. Spacious room.

Major issue that whilst only booked week before and had searched on air conditioning as heatwave. We got to our room and could not work air conditioning. Went down to reception to be told was broken, asked for different room to be told non ac throughout hotel because of storm. On querying the storm told in June., we were now in August. They said had contacted booking.com to say no air conditioning (on checking website now, there is no mention of ac). Was told we could cancel free of charge and Go elsewhere but had driven 6 hours to get there. On my querying a discount, said would reduce rate to that of room with no air condition- would they have done that if not asked, why were we not informed prior to visit, why not informed as checked in. Spent very, very sweaty evening having to take 2 showers (plus shower head could not be moved up, so shower water went all around whole bathroom. Not good last night of our Europe trip.
